PTO-Parent Teacher Organization

Dothan High School

PTO is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to boost student learning and enrich the lives of the students at the school. We hope to enhance the students’ social and educational growth and foster a solid foundation for their lifelong journey of learning.

The number-one reason to join the PTO is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school and your community. Parent involvement has been proven to be the greatest predictor of student success. By getting involved, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education. Join us and you’ll be part of the solution, helping to make positive changes. Together we can do it!

You are always welcome at Dothan High School. PTO is active and involved at DHS and we need YOU to join us. If you are not recieving emails from the PTO please visit our website and join the mailing list. We send out emails from time to time letting you know about happenings and events. You can participate as much as your time allows. Whether you have an hour to give, a whole day, or you send in something for teacher treats; you participation matters and it helps make a difference at DHS!

NOT YOUR MAMA'S PTO...... We understand that parents are busy people. PTO will only host a meeting when we have something important to tell you. We are stepping away from the traditional monthly meetings and will instead focus on involvement. There will be many opportunities for you to participate in school functions and events and we hope you will join us as often as you can. When meetings are held they will be announced on this site, the DHS Tigernews Facebook page, via e-mail, the PTO website, school cast call out, and the school marquee.

In closing, Welcome to Dothan High School! We are glad you're here. We hope you will join us and leave your prints on your children's education. Your ideas, comments, and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Please contact me anytime. Let's work together and have a fabulous school year!
